Your pooch subsists on dry kibble or the good, sloppy stuff from a can, but what happens when you create a robotic dog? Sure, Sony’s Aibo was a rich man’s toy back in its day, and since it is now “extinct”, how about something far cheaper and would also help you achieve your financial goals in the end? We’re looking at the $53 Choken Bako Robotic Dog Bank. The name is pretty much self-explanatory – this is a money eating coin box.

Place the coin that you want to save onto the feeding bowl, and the dog will automatically know something’s there (guess its nose is sensitive to the smell of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters), where it will go ahead and gobble it down in a hungry manner. Good thing you need not clean up after its mess, since it will “defecate” into the coin box right below. Pretty cute, but I wonder how long will it take before its antics run old. Just make sure you have a couple of AA batteries to keep it going.
