Some of you might remember when we covered the iPad Strap, a device that covers the back of the iPad with a strap so you can use everyone’s favorite tablet with one hand.
Griffin has an AirStrap Lite that is essentially the same thing, but they don’t just have it for the iPad. They have it for the Blackberry Playbook, the Motorola Xoom, and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
I got a chance to try it out for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and I found that it was pretty light. It seems to be made of some sort of leathery material, but normally leather materials are labelled as such on the box.
I believe that all cases for tablets are probably going to follow the AirStrap Lite model. After all, as tablets get more common and the screens get larger, they can’t help but become heavier. Since our lifestyles seem to demand them to be used one-handed, I wouldn’t be surprised if all tablets soon come with a tablet handle like an AirStrap Lite.
If you want to get in on this Strap feature early, just head over to the Griffin site and pay $39.99 for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Playbook, or Xoom versions. The AirStrap for the iPad is $29.99, and $49.99 for the iPad 2.
